I met Karen a few years ago when she lived a few doors down from me in our neighborhood. Her boys quickly hit it off with my boys and what seems like overnight these kiddos become part of our family. Sleep overs, Vanderbilt football games, Predators Hockey, and lots and lots of pool time in the summer. When you spend that much time with someone else's kids you start to care for them and treat them like your own. They become like your boys and you smile when they smile and cry when they cry. Funny how life works like that.
Then in a blink of an eye the life as you knew it changes.
The life you once had has changed . You come to realize that life does not always turn out like you had planned, or visioned. You realize that sometimes life throws us a curve ball when we least expect it.
This session was more than just getting together with my friend to take a few pictures of her and her boys.
This session was more than just a session on my calendar.
This was the mark of a new beginning for my amazing friend. We don't get married with the expectation that we will get divorced, but sometimes that is the cards we are dealt. What we can do is grin and bear it and be grateful for what we do have.
This session was about my beautiful strong friend and her new beginning with her boys. It was about showing my friend that she is an amazing person and that she is stronger than she thinks.
It was also a time to laugh and giggle and enjoy my son photo bombing the session :) Gah I am blessed to know some amazing people I call my friends~
Here's to the future and for being grateful for family and friends and the good lord above.
This is my beautiful and amazing friend Karen and her two very handsome boys Matty and Nick. I am so proud of you my friend and I love you!
