I remember when my boys were little, my husband and I would spend hours at the store buying Power Ranger and Star Wars toys, and countless hours putting them together on Christmas morning.
I miss those days.
Now Christmas morning consists of opening a few larger gifts that cost quite a bit more :)
My youngest Logan is 12. He loves the outdoors, playing sports and riding motorcycles. This year he started really taking an interest in hunting. Although I am from Colorado and did a little hunting with my dad growing up, I am pretty sure I could not stomach shooting a deer.
My husband also did not grow up hunting, and for the last few months leading up to Christmas we have been trying to figure out how to make this " hunting" thing happen for my son.
Then one day my husband turned to me and said, ya know, this is something Logan really wants to do, so I am going to do whatever I can to make it happen.
Yeah I love that man, a lot :)
So on Christmas morning Logan opened up his one big gift and I am pretty sure he never lost that smile that had formed on is face. My husband spent the afternoon teaching him how to shoot it safely and I spent the afternoon feeling so very blessed to have this amazing man and father to my boys in my life.
