I have known this sweet girl since she was a baby. I lived in Huntsville, Alabama before moving to Nashville, so my boys grew up with Elizabeth and her sister. We celebrated many birthdays at my house and her house. It feels likes yesterday when she was turning 4.
Even though I moved away several years ago, I still keep in touch with her mom through social media, and when I make a random visit to my old stomping grounds I stop by and say hi to her mom.
Teri emailed me and said Elizabeth saw some of my pictures I had taken on Facebook and she said " I want that lady to take mine."
For a moment I was not only humbled and excited that a teenager liked my work, but I was also a little sad that this beautiful girl I had known since she was a baby didn't remember me.
I was now " that lady"
We set the date and they drove almost 3 hours for our session.
Yes, 3 hours.
Yeah, I am super lucky to have people like that in my life.
During our session I remember looking at the back of my camera after a specific close up shot. I looked into her eyes and remembered the sweet little girl that would play with my boys, or smile at me and hug on her mom. She was grown, but her eyes still showed the sweet Elizabeth I remembered all those years ago. This amazing young lady was turning 16 and I was lucky enough to be capturing it.
Thank you Teri for driving all day just for me to capture your precious daughter. Thank you Elizabeth for picking ME to take them, I am super proud to be that lady and always will!
Meet beautiful, sweet and now 16 Elizabeth!
