Warning....I will be posting quite a few pictures on this blog :) I mean really, how can I not look at that face!!
So I met Sophie in November when I attended the Blink Conference in Nashville. Sophie was one of the models picked by Audrey Woulard Photography. I was thrilled to find out that they did not live far from me and I could maybe have a chance to capture her again.
This little girl is a true gem and I feel so lucky to have met her that weekend during the conference. She is funny and sweet, giggly and sassy. She can rock out just about any pose you ask her to do and relax and have fun in the moment.
She, is Fierce.
A few weeks ago I posted on social media that I was looking for a kids room. A room that was full of light and love and a reflection of that child's personality. I wanted to step out of my comfort zone as a photographer and try something new. Capture a child in their own environment being, well a kid.
I immediately thought of Sophie.
There is NO way this adorable girl, who came to the conference dressed to impress and had that much spunk had a boring room. And boy was I right!
Sophie and her mom travel the world, which I think is really awesome. She has blessed the front of many cameras and high end photographers. I love how she gets excited to get dressed up and not only enjoys all the fun photo shoots but spending that quality time with her mom.
When I sent her mom their gallery to view after our session, she messaged me back that her and Sophie were cuddled up in the bed at the hotel eating Domino's pizza looking through the pictures.
Making memories. I absolutely love that.
I wanted a session that was all about a little girl and her room. A fun time to just be a kid, have some fun ( both me and her) and just capture the real moments.
I am beyond excited how these turned out. I feel so blessed to have met them and know them.
I am honored to be one of the many photographers that has been able to capture her.
This session has reminded me to now wait for a special occasion, or for the entire family to get together to hire a photographer. It's a reminder to stop worrying about the perfect spot or location. Those places are sometimes right in your own house or in your back yard.
Find the joy in your life and capture it.
