I grew up in a small town in Colorado called Montrose. I moved there when I was 4 years old so my dad could follow his dream of being a farmer. We had a McDonald's, Wendy's and Taco Bell, cruised the main drag every Friday night and met up with friends for bon fires in the boonies :)
That small town in Colorado built me.
It made me who I am today.
So when I go home to visit I like to take a day to just shoot for fun. It's no surprise that I absolutely LOVE Seniors, so I started looking for a local Senior that might want to come play with me for a day.
Insert blog post and introduce the beautiful Flor Garcia :)
I found Flor through my niece Amanda. She thought Flor would be a great fit so next thing I knew Flor and I were chatting on Facebook. I knew nothing about her, or even what she looked like but I honestly didn't care. She had the sweetest personality and was really excited to hang out with me so of course what was there not to love :)
I started looking on line for some things for her to wear and found an amazing hair and makeup artist to spoil her for the day ( Her information is listed below). I knew I wanted to find something that reminded each and every girl I photograph this year to Be You, Be Yourself, that you are enough and beautiful. So I prayed that the weather would cooperate and I jumped on a plane from Tennessee and headed home.
Photography to me is not just making a dollar or seeing how many sessions I can fit in. It's about making memories, pushing my creativity and seeing someone smile when they see the beauty I see through my lens.
Flor, let me just say you are the sweetest young lady and I feel so blessed to have worked with you. You never complained about all the places I took you, you brought me a HUGE selection on AmaZing shoes and you had this poise and gracefulness about you that was just way beyond your years.
You my dear are stunning and beautiful, inside and out!
So everyone meet my gorgeous Senior from Montrose High School~ Go Indians!
