This boy...well I call him a boy because I still remember that little kid running around next door. The little boy who practiced baseball, rode motorcycles and four-wheeler's and played outside until the sun went down. He has been someone my son has looked up to almost all his life.
He is good.
He is kind.
He is respectable.
And he is now a senior.
Nick, or whom I like to call Nicholas :) is a senior at Montgomery Bell Academy. I could honestly sit here for hours and type a thousand words on how wonderful of a young man he is. A few years ago he moved away from the neighborhood, but I have kept up with him by social media and of course his dad. My family has spent many Friday nights under the lights of the football field cheering him on, and sometimes he swings by to say hi when he is in the area.
He's that kind of kid.
If you haven't been able to tell by now my family is so very proud of him.
When we met up for his session I was thrilled that he wanted to include all of the things that had meaning to him.
Like most teenage boys that includes a vehicle, a toy, some guns and maybe an animal.
Well I do believe we had all the above :)
I truly believe that if you give your kids every opportunity for greatness, support them and guide them that they will exceed and do more than we could have ever imagined they could do. This kid is going to go far and do amazing things, you just wait! I can't wait to see what the future holds and where the next chapter will take him.
I just hope he always remembers the little subdivision and the people in it who think the world of him.
