I am really not sure how this blog is going to go, but I know I want to write it from my heart. Sometimes I am not the best with my words.Read More
The cold weather is moving out and it's the first day of Spring...yippie...happy dance... :)
It is also the beginning of wedding season.
I often wonder when I receive an email requesting my package prices, what makes that bride choose me or not choose me. What's important to a bride and groom, money, style, connecting with the photographer? Maybe all the above?Read More
I have two boys that are now 12 and 14. I remember spending days creating the perfect room for them when they were little. Austin had a railroad themed room and Logan had a jungle room complete with a huge tree mural. Lots of work but totally worth it when they would run in their room and play for hours.Read More
Do you ever have those days that you just don't feel like getting out of bed.
Or feel like a giant elephant is sitting on your shoulders.
I believe that God moves me where I need to be. Not always on my pace or on my timeline, but he knows what I need when I need it.Read More

So I met Sophie in November when I attended the Blink Conference in Nashville. Sophie was one of the models picked by Audrey Woulard Photography. I was thrilled to find out that they did not live far from me and I could maybe have a chance to capture her again.Read More

I remember when my boys were little, my husband and I would spend hours at the store buying Power Ranger and Star Wars toys, and countless hours putting them together on Christmas morning.Read More
I'm a mom, a wife, work full time at a hospital and on my days off from all of that I capture people :) Whew that made me tired to typing it.
I live in small town Tennessee. I grew up on a farm in Colorado, the baby of 6 kids and 2 adopted brothers. I moved to Tennessee with my husband and two boys a few years ago, where we bought a nice little house in the country. I'm just a small town country girl at heart, with big dreams to be an amazing photographer. It's nice to dream big yet keep your heart simple, right?
Well out of the blue one day I received a message on my Facebook wall. My printing company found my page and wanted my email address.
What in the world could they want with this small town girl?
After emailing back and forth and doing a small interview, I found out that they had chosen me as Studio of the Month for the July. ME...ME..they picked Muah!
Needless to say I was shocked and honored and SO excited. I think what really hit me the most was that they found ME. I didn't sign up for a contest, or enter my pictures in any drawing. They liked the emotion I captured and the connection I made with my clients. They saw all that through my pictures.
And that ladies and gentleman was the biggest compliment I think I have ever received. And I was honored.
Thank you all for being a part of my life, my business and my love of capturing people. Thank you to my husband who supports me and is my biggest fan and to my two boys who have let me torture them with photo shoots to get "better" at what I do :)
Thank you Simply Color Lab and Studio for finding me and believing in my work.
Yeah Me right!
