My baby boy. I remember the day you were born, I remember your first tooth, your first words and when you started to walk. I remember when that straight hair turned curly and how you always seem to make me laugh not matter what the occasion. You seriously are like my therapy when I have had a bad day and just need to laugh. And I so love you for that.
Looking back I am so glad that I had my little handheld camera in hand and ready to go. No, back then I was not a photographer, but I still captured the everyday moments that I now call MY perfect memories.
I often scroll through social media and see all these wonderful snapshots of my friends with their kids. They may not have the perfect lens, or the perfect light, but they are the perfect memories being taken to last forever. Please don't stop doing that and if your a parent that is afraid to capture memories because they won't be good enough, stop right now and start capturing these moments. These are your memories and your only opportunity to make time stop. They don't have to be perfect for everyone else, just perfect for you. And for all the moms who hate to get in the picture, STOP!!! Get in that picture with your kid! Trust me you will thank me later!!
This week has been quite emotional. My son will move on from the only school he has known for 8 years, and start his journey into High School. He leaves behind a year full of foootball, basketball and baseball championships, awards and a lifetime of memories with his friends and teachers. He leaves behind being an Eagle.
In his speech last night at graduation he said one thing. Remember that you will Always be an Eagle. I pray these boys will always remember where they came from and the place that built them. #alwaysaneagle
